If she were to turn around and leave or if she even hesitated for a second, Ivan would be suspicious of her, and then her identity would be exposed nonetheless.

Out of the corner of her eye, Rachel noticed the half-opened bedroom door. She clenched her fists and made her decision. Then, she Looked into Ivans eyes and attempted to take off her mask.
But all of a sudden, someone opened the bedroom door and called out to him, Sir.
When Ivan turned around, Rachel paused before she could take off her mask. Following the voices direction, she stared at the person standing at the door of the bedroom.
It was Joey.
sir, Mr. Sullivan wishes to tell you something and he insists that you come in, Joey said as he walked towards them.
Mr. Sullivan is asking for me? asked Ivan.
Joey nodded firmly.
It must be for something important. Please go inside quickly.
Ivan tarried no longer when he heard this. He didnt seem to care about Rachel anymore. He just gave Joey a nod, and then he went into the bedroom.
Soon, the bedroom door slammed shut.

He then turned to Rachel as his eyes welled up with tears.

Earlier, when he was inside the bedroom, he heard his mother speaking to Ivan. Even though his mother had attempted to make her voice sound different, he still recognized it at once.
At first, he wasnt sure about it, because he knew that his mother was supposed to be on a mission right now. And if that were true, she probably wouldnt be here.
But then, he thought of his recent phone call with Quintin. Even though the reception was terrible, Joey vaguely heard Quintin say something about his mommy at the time.
When that thought crossed his mind, Joey formulated a plan quickly.
Just then, Victor said that he needed to talk to Ivan about something, so Joey volunteered to go outside and call Ivan in. He did it because he wanted to confirm whether the person outside was his mother or not.
And just as he had expected, he wasnt mistaken.
After regaining his composure, Joey looked at Rachel, wanting to call her Mommy. But then, he remembered that Ivan and Victor were in the bedroom, so he decided against addressing her that way so loudly.
Instead, he just threw himself into her arms with tears in his eyes.
Mommy, he whispered.
Now that Rachel saw her beloved son standing in front of her safe and sound, she finally felt relieved.
